Upload Printer Drivers

Step-by-step guide on how to upload and manage printer drivers in Vasion Print.

Upload a Driver

Windows requires an .inf file. Some things to note:

• With an .exe file, extract the files from the .exe file to a folder, then find the .inf file.
• Some drivers may require installation to access the .inf file.
• Some drivers show multiple .inf files. These could be 32/64 bit, or model specific.

1. In the Admin Console, select the printer object's Drivers / Profiles tab.

   1. Another option is to navigate to Tools) Driver / Profile Repository.

2. Select the Upload Driver button next to the operating system you're using.

   1. Or use Upload New Driver in the top-right of Driver / Profile Repository.

3. Select Browse on the modal.
4. Navigate to the .inf file you want to upload, select it, and select Open.
5. Select the model if more than one option shows.
6. Modify the Annotation String with a unique identifier and select Next.
7. If both 32/64 bit options show, select the one you want and select Upload.
8. Once the driver completes, select Save.
   1. When you use the Driver / Profile Repository, you also need to attach the driver to the printer object(s) using the Drivers / Profiles tab.

Depending on the internet connection speed and the size of the driver, the upload may take some time.
