Manually Add Printers

Step-by-step guide on how to manually add a TCP / IP printer in Vasion Print.

Add a Printer

New Button Option

  1. In the tree structure, select the folder where you want to create the printer.
  2. Select the New button from the top, then select TCP / IP Printer.

Context Menu

  1. Select the folder where you want to create the printer.
  2. Right-click on the folder and select New then TCP / IP Printer from the context menu.

Enter Printer Details

  1. In the Add TCP / IP Printer modal complete the following:
    1. Printer Name — enter the name for the printer.
    2. Location — optional. Enter the printer location.
    3. IP Address or Hostname — enter the IP address or hostname for the printer.
    4. Comment — optional. Enter comments about the printer.
    5. Make Pull Printer — select this option to make this a pull-print queue to hold print jobs. For more details, see Pull Print.

Add or Select a Print Driver

If the driver already exists, use the dropdown to select it from the list, or upload a driver and select Add.
